Wedding Day Photography

Timing

Weddings have a lot of moving parts. Having a timeline in place helps ensure important elements are not missed.

If you have a wedding coordinator, we defer to them to create your timeline for you. If you are not having a day-of coordinator and would like our assistance in creating your timeline please let us know as we are happy to create one for you.

Either way, plese ensure we receive a copy of your finalized timeline prior to your wedding day. Typically, we recommend touching bases with us the week of your wedding to make sure no last minute changes were made that we don’t know about.

Below is our recommended timing for how long each portion of your wedding will take in regards to photos. This is a loose guideline and may change based on your particular situation. Please also consider travel times between locations.

Bridal Flatlay

Your wedding day flat lay is a great way of capturing the important elements of your day in one photograph. In the weeks leading up to your wedding, collect these items in one box. When we arrive at your getting ready location, we will ask for this box so that we can easily grab these photos for you without having to run around finding all these item.

Sample items to include (all of this is optional - the idea is to just include items that mean something to you):

  • All THREE wedding rings!!! (engagement ring, both wedding bands) This allows me to photograph these three rings together so I don’t have to bug you for them again later in the day.

  • Flat lay florals from your florist (see below)

  • wedding invitation (all pieces - envelopes too!)

  • shoes

  • wedding day jewelry (earrings, necklace, bracelet)

  • purse/clutch

  • Hair pieces (if not in your hair yet)

  • your favorite perfume

  • veil

  • vow books

  • heirloom jewelry

PRO TIP: Ask your florist for a few extra flowers (similar to what will be in your bouquet) that we can incorporate into your flat lay. Please ask your florist to make sure these are delivered to the place you will be getting ready as this is when we do your flat lay photos. Often florists will deliver florals right to the venue - if this will be the case for your wedding day, try to get a few flowers ahead of time that can be kept with your flat lay box.

Items we will bring: Gold plate (pictured above), ring boxes, flat lay background, ribbon, rose petals

Groom Details

Similar to the bridal flatlay images, we like to take detail shots of the grooms items that are important to him for his wedding day. We do this a little less formally as the bride, but it’s equally important that the groom place these items aside in a box for us so that we can easily access them when we arrive at his place of getting ready.

Items to include: your shoes, watch (please no smart watches!), ring boxes, cologne, cuff links, tie clips, vow books, etc.

Please do not be wearing these items when we arrive for grooms photos! We will first take images of these items by themselves, then we will photograph you putting these items on.
