At BK Rose Studio, we specialize in professional acting headshots for film, TV, theater, and commercial work, serving actors throughout the North Shore and Northwest Chicago suburbs from our Libertyville studio.
We're Brett and Kat Rosenberg, and before relocating to the Chicago area in 2020, we spent over a decade photographing actors, working with agents and managers, and shooting headshots in Los Angeles - one of the most competitive headshot markets in the world. We brought all of that industry experience with us, and our clients feel the difference.
We know what agents want to see. We know what managers submit. And we know the difference between a headshot that books auditions and one that gets scrolled past.
With 18 years of photography experience and a deep understanding of the industry on both coasts, we bring a level of knowledge to your session that goes well beyond pointing a camera.
We work with you on expression, wardrobe, and the specific looks you need for the roles you're going after - whether that's theatrical, commercial, young mom, leading man, character, or anything in between.
What to Expect
Our Libertyville studio is a calm, unhurried space where you can actually relax and do your best work. No city traffic, no parking headaches, no rushing between appointments. Just a focused session with photographers who understand this industry and know how to get the shots that move your career forward. We're conveniently located for actors throughout Lake County, the North Shore, and the Northwest Chicago suburbs — and a straightforward drive for anyone coming from the city.
Acting headshot sessions are collaborative from start to finish. Before your session we'll talk through your goals, the roles you're targeting, and the looks you want to capture. On the day of, we guide you through wardrobe changes, expressions, and everything in between — no experience in front of a camera required. We shoot until we get it right, and we'll let you review images during the session so you always know what you're walking away with.
