OUR APPROACH TO PRIVACY & SHARING

At BK Rose Studio, your privacy is incredibly important to us. As parents ourselves, we understand how personal these images are, and we are always thoughtful about how and where they are shared.

Showcasing our work is an essential part of running a photography business. It is how new families discover us and how we are able to continue doing the work we love.

During booking, you will have the opportunity to share your privacy preferences with us. We truly appreciate when clients feel comfortable allowing us to post their images, yet we also fully respect families who prefer not to have their photos shared. Sharing our work is one of the only ways a small business like ours can grow and continue serving our community. We hope that the care and intentionality we bring to sharing our work helps you feel confident and comfortable entrusting us with your family’s memories.

When it comes to children, we are especially mindful. When possible, we select images that do not prominently feature a child’s full face, often choosing side angles or more subtle compositions, and always with parents’ explicit permission.

How We Protect Your Images

When featuring any client imagery, we follow intentional guidelines designed to prioritize safety and privacy:

• Watermarking publicly shared images
• Resizing images for web use so full-resolution files are never displayed
• Never tagging children or sharing identifying details
• Removing family names from file names and metadata
• Selecting images that feel respectful and protective in composition
• Never posting private or sensitive moments without explicit permission
• Occasionally sharing session imagery in short reel format on social media, where images appear briefly on screen

Our goal is to share the work we pour our hearts into while always leading with care, discretion, and deep respect for the families who trust us with their memories.

Many of our clients feel comfortable allowing limited sharing, as it helps other families discover our work and supports a small local business like ours, though we completely respect whatever choice feels right for your family.

HOW IMAGES ARE EDITED

The images in your proof gallery have already been fully edited and retouched to look their best! Our editing process includes adjustments like color correction, lighting enhancements, skin smoothing, flyaway removal, teeth whitening, and background clean-up—all to ensure a polished and natural look.

If you’d like additional edits beyond what’s already included, such as head swapping, detailed skin work, major body shaping, or other advanced retouching, we’re happy to offer this service for $20 per photo. Just let us know how we can help!

HOW IMAGES ARE SELECTED

We put a lot of care into selecting the best images for our clients—there are no hidden gems left behind! As we sort through each session, we’re genuinely excited to share as many great images as possible. We carefully choose photos that capture natural, beautiful expressions and meet our high photographic standards.

To ensure the best quality, we only deliver fully edited images. RAW or unedited files require special software to process, which most people don’t have. Editing is a huge part of our artistry, and we take great pride and joy in this process. The final editing style, effects, and overall look of your images are thoughtfully crafted by BK Rose Studio to create a stunning final collection.
